Description:
Beautiful, of course! I work full time, my husband is retired ... find the fish relaxing, previously found soft corrals beautiful but frustrating .... decided to reenter the reef and hope for better results.

Tank Introduciton:
We've recently resurrected our salt water tank - it's been operational since about 2000 but for the last year, running with an external filter with only a single damsel fish swimming alone in 55 gallons. Previously grew discouraged by the loss of fish, anemones, etc. and the frustration of keeping everything going (not to mention expense). Although did have one fish live 5 years (Dominick died two years ago) ... anyhow, decided to try again and see if we can do this. New, stronger lighting will hopefully help the two anemones ... plus have 5 fish in addition to Jailbird, our original damsel. Our tank is not exactly traditional reef as in addition to rocks, we have a castle and a fake brown porcelain log but it's ours. Wish us luck - maybe this site can help us keep it going and keep our brood alive!

Filtration:
Biofilter balls

Lighting:
Our new lighting is a Glo T5HO. Much brighter --- no more blue color ... only disadvantage is that the tank noise is louder because the light hangs a little above the water (our old lighting system was lower) so instead of a soft trickling noise, it's more of a waterfall sound ... getting used to it though.

Misc: Circulation, Flow, Ozone, Auto-top-off, etc.:
We put in an additional little filter/gadget to move the water around (my hubby is the technical one for the filter and such) in addition to the main spout from the biofilter.

Corals:
Because I'm a little leery because of our past experience or inexperience as the case may be, we bought two to start ... a white long tentacled anemone and a brown bubble anemone. Plan to just relax and see how they do.

Fish:
Sorry but I name my fish -- our original damselfish - Jailbird (1 or more years old), new are a Clarkii clownfish - Clark Kent, a Chocolate Tang - Suzie, a watchman gobey (or is it gobie) - Timex, a star blenney - Howie, and a purple something my husband found that we haven't looked up yet - named Dilly.
